"To set up what you like against what you dis-like is the disease of the mind." Sengsten, 3rd Zen Patriarch
Using a tool like the Enneagram places us in an odd conundrum. The Enneagram is beautifully designed to help us move beyond duality by seeing through the fabric of conceptual reality and the constructs of our Personality/Ego. Paradoxically, our participation in the process places us right back within the very split we have set out to heal.
The unconscious mind of the Enneagram student cannot help but mistakenly perceive the work as an edict to move away from the Personality/Ego and to move towards the Essence/Essential Self. The commitment to heal the split by seeing through the split as reality, paradoxically, evokes the split yet again.
Ragini’s original work called the Enneagram of Paradoxical Identity provides a concrete way out of this unconscious dilemma. Whether done consciously or unconsciously, setting up what we like against what we dislike creates contraction in our consciousness.
The Enneagram of Paradoxical Identity will give you:
- Fresh language that moves beyond the traditional spiritual and psychological verbiage that unconsciously reinforces the very polarization it strives to heal (i.e., Holy Ideas, Delusion, Illusion, Difficulty, Reaction Formation, Pathological Diagnoses).
- A navigation tool to surf both the spiritual and psychological levels of reality without choosing one over the other. Setting up one level of reality as more important than another results in the phenomena of collapsing and/or deleting the vertical flow of information - Essence to Personality AND Personality to Essence.
- A commitment to installing a new relationship to duality, ambiguity, uncertainty, and change at the levels of strategy, beliefs, values, and identity into your brain/body.
- A proven program that frees you to embrace both your personality and your essential self, without choosing one over the other.
